Craniosacral Architecture as the Conception of Diagnosis and Treatment

October 21–23, 2011, Moscow

Serge Silbermann is Doctor of Osteopathy, the oldest osteopath in France. He got his diploma in kinesiotherapy in 1962 and studied acupuncture for 8 years from 1969. He holds a diploma in osteopathy from the United Kingdom (Maidstone) since 1974. Founder and co-founder of the first osteopathic schools in France (A.T.M.A.N. (1980), EUROSTEO and I.S.O (1990)). Today he is the director of EUROSTEO (Aix-en-Provence, France) and an international lecturer (France, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, Spain and other countries). Specializes in teaching of craniosacral osteopathy. Author of the book "Craniosacral architecture."

Objective of the Seminar

During this seminar Serge Silbermann suggests viewing the craniosacral system in the context of unity and seamless tissue interaction. Three diaphragms (horizontal structures) are connected with each other with the help of two vertical structures: CORE-LINK (intra- and extracranial pachymeninx) and CENTRAL TENDON (musculo-fascial-skin-visceral chain). The osteopath obtains access to all functions of the human body by balancing these three diaphragms and vertical connections during a single therapeutic session. Coordination of these structures is necessary to achieving optimal homeostasis.

The seminar discussed the following topics:

  • Supporting cranial arches: very strong and dense structures which support all skull parts.
  • Cranial techniques allowing to revive the activity of global bodily functions.
  • Techniques of cranial pumps allowing to harmonize skull structures.
  • Techniques of mutual tension membranes, the central tendon and three diaphragms.
