On the 19th of May the directory of the Institute of Osteopathy of SPbSU and NWSMU n. a. I. I. Mechnikov had a meeting with the OIA chairman, Michael Mulholland-Licht. Director of the Institute of Osteopathy, Dmitry Mokhov, deputy director of the Institute of International relationships, Larisa Nosal and expert in educational programs, Elena Tregubova, participated in the meeting.

Meeting participants discussed the current situation and prospects for development of osteopathy in Russia. Dmitry Mokhov told how many things were done in order for osteopathic medicine to become recognized at the state level in our country. Besides, they discussed possible areas of cooperation between the Institute of Osteopathy and OIA.

At the end of the meeting Michael Mulholland-Licht invited the Institute of Osteopathy to the annual conference of the Osteopathic International Alliance, which will be held in London in October 2014.
