OsEAN is an Osteopathic European Academic Network and its common mission includes the development of a standardized model of osteopathic education. Director of the Institute of Osteopathy, Dmitry Mokhov, deputy director of the Institute of International relationships, Larisa Nosal and expert in educational programs, Elena Tregubova, represented our institute at the forum. Dmitry made a report called "Systematic approach to osteopathic education in Russia" and talked about the main stages of the history of osteopathic medicine and its teaching in our country. According to the report, in 2012 osteopathy in Russia entered a new stage, which was called "the stage of a state regulation". Until that time osteopaths were educated at different private schools and training was conducted within various programs, which had neither the state nor the professional accreditation. Today, after the number of adopted regulations which have approved the official status of osteopathy, osteopathic training can be conducted only in the educational institutions that have a state license.
