Professional retraining for osteopaths

As a result of the homologation of osteopathy in Russia, Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University was the first to get the right of issuing state diplomas and certificates in osteopathy. At the present time only specialists who have received diplomas in educational institutions licensed to teach osteopathy have a right to work as osteopaths.
In summer 2014 the first 15 osteopaths received state diplomas of professional retraining. Rector of the Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University Otari Khurtsilava has handed the diploma to the director of the Institute of Osteopathy Dmitry Mokhov.
