In the end of December 2016 a unique issue called “Atlas of osteopathic techniques: biomechanical approach to the correction of somatic dysfunctions of cervical, thoracic, lumbar and pelvic regions” came out. The Atlas is the project of St. Petersburg Institute of Osteopathy. The authors are the director of our Institute Dmitry Mokhov and one of the leading teachers, head of the structural branch Dmitry Miroshnichenko.

The project of publishing of osteopathic atlases started in our institute in 2011. This is the year when the first volume of the series “Atlas of osteopathic techniques: upper and lower extremity” was published. Today we are glad to inform you that the new volume has been published.

The issue contains more than 800 illustrations. The “Atlas of osteopathic techniques” is a work which has no analogues in Russia. It includes all the known diagnostic and treatment techniques, and each technique is illustrated in details. On the pictures the readers will find stages of realization of techniques, osteopath’s and patient’s positions, hand positions and directions of movements, everything a specialist needs for visual support of theoretical knowledge.

The Atlas will help students of osteopathic schools in learning techniques and development of manual skills and will also be interesting for practitioners.
