Results of Osteopathy Open 2019

On June 14—16th, the International Congress Osteopathy Open 2019 "Modern approaches to health restoration and maintenance: interdisciplinary dialogue" was held in Moscow. Experts from more than 50 regions of Russia and 14 countries took part in it.

Leading Russian specialists in osteopathy, neurology, neonatology, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, reflex therapy, dentistry and other medical specialties, directors and teachers of the largest osteopathic educational institutions of Russia and other countries, representatives of professional public organizations, including international ones, took part in the Congress.

On the second day of the congress, on June 15th, a well-known Russian physiologist and doctor of biological sciences Yu.E. Moskalenko presented his open lecture “Slow fluctuations of intracranial volume. Quantitative analysis. Significance for practice”.

A meeting of the Council of directors of educational institutions providing osteopathic education continued the program on June 15th. Issues concerning osteopathic education, including a new format of professional training in osteopathy (a program of 3504 hours), simulation training, the need for proper documentation and other topics were discussed at the meeting. Not only directors of the largest Russian educational institutions, but also directors of the European osteopathic schools were invited.

On the same day, a meeting of the international research group which brought together leading Russian and European osteopaths took place. Thanks to the video connection, our foreign colleagues who could not personally attend the congress, took part in its work.

On June 15th and 16th, 15 workshops by leading Russian and foreign osteopaths, including Mark Bozzetto, Torsten Liem, Jory Pauwels and others, were held within the framework of Osteopathy Open 2019.

During these three days, more than 500 physicians from 51 regions of Russia: osteopaths, manual therapists, neurologists, dentists, pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians and gynecologists, and many other specialists, as well as osteopaths from France, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, Israel, Canada, Spain, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Latvia and Armenia, took part in the congress.
