On January 20-22, 2022 the advanced training cycle took place at the St. Petersburg Institute of Osteopathy. The seminar was held by Christian Defrance – DO, member of the Belgian Sutherland Cranial Academy, representative of the ATMAN osteopathic college in OIA, founder and academic director of the EUROSTEO osteopathic school and the Private Higher Institute of Osteopathy (Aix-en-Provence, France).

For three days, the participants of the seminar – osteopathic physicians from 10 regions of Russia – studied the possibilities of osteopathy in multidisciplinary interaction with dentists of various specialties in providing care to dental patients.

The main attention of the lecturer was given to a detailed consideration of the relationship between the upper and lower jaws in all dysfunctions of sphenobasilar synchondrosis (SBS). The practical part of the seminar included techniques for examining, testing and correcting somatic dysfunctions of SBS, temporal bones, maxillary and palatine bones, as well as a detailed work protocol for all bones of the facial skull.
