On June 11-13, the international scientific and practical congress Osteopathy Open 2022 «Osteopathy in the world: tendencies of development, problems and solutions» was held in St. Petersburg. The event was attended by about 450 osteopathic physicians, chiropractors, neurologists, dentists, pediatricians, gynecologists and other specialists from 20 regions of Russia, as well as from Azerbaijan, Israel and Kyrgyzstan.

On the first day of the congress, a plenary session dedicated to topical issues in the development of osteopathy was held at the Mechnikov North-West State Medical University. Russian and foreign osteopathic physicians lectured at the conference and presented results of the latest research in the field of evidence-based medicine. 

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the opening ceremony of the plenary session, where the founder of the Paris Higher School of Osteopathy (Ecole Supérieure d'Ostéopathie — ESO Paris), Roger Caporossi wished the participants an enjoyable and productive congress in his video message.

On June 12 and 13, as part of the conference program, 8 workshops were held by recognized experts in osteopathic medicine, including lecturers from our institute: Dr. Dmitry Mokhov (MD, PhD, D. Sc., president of the Russian Osteopathic Association), prof. Alexander Stefanidi, Alexander Kantsepolsky (PhD) (vice-president of the Israeli Medical Association) and Dr. Eduard Tsymbalov (PhD), Galina Piskunova (lecturer of Osteopaatia Akademia (Tallinn), Jöry Pauwels (OsEAN board member) and Elvira Nenashkina  (senior lecturer of our institute), and others.

Over 190 specialists in osteopathy and other medical fields attended the workshops during these two days, highly appreciating the results of their colleagues and the practical significance of the knowledge gained.
