A new book “Temporomandibular joints.  Definition, stomatological and osteopathic  treatment” was published  in Russian  under the auspices of the Institute of Osteopathy. The author is Jean-Marie Landouzy—graduate of the European School of Osteopathy, international lecturer, known for standing for integration of osteopathy and dentistry. He wrote a number of scientific works where he proved the necessity of the interdisciplinary approach in treatment of patients with disturbed occlusion.

In 1993 the book was published for the first time in French. The Russian edition appeared under the editorship of D. E. Mokhov, PhD. The foreword was written by the remarkable French osteopath Jean-Pierre Guilliani. According to him, the book is useful for both--dentists and osteopaths. The dentists will find the brief description of the osteopathic philosophy of the treatment techniques, the osteopaths will learn the stomatological nomenclature. This can become a foundation for their collaboration.

We remind that earlier another book on the same topic was published under the auspices of the Institute of Osteopathy—“Dento-Facial System. Stomatological conception. Osteopathic conception” by Jean-Pierre Amigues.
