On February 8, a representative of the Interregional Public Organization of Confucian Experts Jiang Yanbin made a working visit to the department of osteopathy at the Mechnikov North-West State Medical University. The meeting took place with the participation of our leading specialists and was dedicated to the development of cooperation in the field of education.
Dmitry Mokhov — head of the department, chief osteopathy specialist of the Russian Federation Ministry of Health, president of the Russian Osteopathic Association told the guest about the formation of Russian osteopathy as a medical specialty and the activities of the department in promoting the osteopathic profession in Russia.

Mr. Jiang Yanbin noted the promise and peculiarity of the osteopathic approach to treatment, which consists in combining «energetic» and physiological aspects. He expressed confidence that osteopathy will arouse great interest in his home country, because it is close to Chinese traditional medicine in its approach to the human body.
Both parties agreed that the issue of joint work requires a detailed study of the legislative framework, on which the organization of the training will be based. At the same time, they noted that they look positively at the prospects for cooperation.
In the afternoon, Mr. Jiang Yanbin met with the board and lecturers of the Mechnikov North-West State Medical University, since the Chinese organization expressed interest in creating a branch of the university and the faculty of osteopathy in Henan province.
